FIRST
REGISTRATION
In
case you are the owner of an A.P.B.T., which is
lacking of origin documents, you can apply by
following this procedure:
a) Send the Club n°3 pictures of your subject (
front, side views and back view with well visible hind
legs ).
b) State date of birth (better if ascertained
date) even if approximate.
c) You must send a copy of tattooed number o
microchip card.
d) Owner personal data (download
form).
e) Fill in the form in capital letters and sign it,
in such a way it will be possible to check it in case
of mating declaration or transfer of ownership.
f) Send completed form by mail or fax.
g) Send copy of postal receipt for payment of
first registration = € 20.00
h) First registration of subjects is always
temporary until evaluation, during competitions, tests
and events, where the subjects will be personally
examined by one or more authorised members of the
Club, who may confirm or deny the subject typicality
with following confirmation or denial of pedigree.
i) On demand and for dogs of the breed A.P.B.T. it
is possible to provide DNA test.
Example:
Mr. Schmidt from Dusseldorf, Germany, has received an
American Pit Bull Terrier called Argo as a present. The subject is in good health and is typical but
has no documentation. In order to start its family
tree and since it asked as stud, or brood bitch, you
want to register it in genealogical books. Mr. Schmidt
activates the procedure of the European Pit Bull
Breeders Club. At this point, after activating all the
procedure, the above-mentioned dog Argo
will be registered as head of the lineage, son of
non-registered parents. Argo, in this case, is mated to a bitch called Star,
which is daughter of non-registered parents, and therefore is
at its first registration. Puppies born from them will
have their first complete pedigree, sons of Argo
X Star. This
is obviously and example for first registrations; for
already-registered dogs with other pedigrees or
certificates click on the link registry

REGISTRY TRANSFER

As
we have already mentioned in the page About
us, pedigrees of the European Pit Bull Breeders
Club comes from the need to promote a correct breeding
of American Pit Bull Terriers but above all to valuate
these dogs when they are successful in working and
social utility tests (e.g. surface and under-debris
rescue dogs, pet-therapy dogs, visiting dogs, IPOs and
BH patents, Good Citizen Dog patent etc…), as other
breed registries do not consider this fundamental
point. Having an updated database at European level
not only means limiting several false registrations,
but also a wide documentation in order to oppose, with
real and tangible deeds, false information from the
mass media, which – let’s not forget it – have
caused this wonderful breed to be banned in
neighbouring countries such as France. It
is NOT obligation to have A.P.B.T.s working if you
want to enter the database. We
can now see the transfer procedure to the registry of
the European Pit Bull Breeders Club
a) Send the club n°3 pictures of your subject (
